Tridhara is located 12 kms from Parbhani district in the state of Maharashtra.
The word Tridhara has been derived from 'Tri' which means three and 'dhara' means river. So as the name suggests, it is the place of confluence of three rivers- Purna, Dudhna and Kapra. The Sangam at Rudraprayag is spectacular, surrounded as it by the huge rocky type faces.
People ideally spend 30 to 40 minutes at The Tridhara enjoying the picturesque view of the rivers merging into each other. One can plan trip to Maharashtra all the yearlong, but the best time to be at this place is from October to March. Early morning trip to the sangam is recommended or after 5 PM in the evening as the confluence offers an excellent view during the sunrise and the sunset.
